City Hunter

The City Hunter is a South Korean television drama that is based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo. The TV series starring is Lee Min-ho, Park Min-young, Lee Joon-Hyuk, Kim Sang-Joong, Kim Sang-ho, Hwang Sun-hee, Goo ha-ra, Chun Ho-jin, and Lee Kwang-soo. It premiered was on May 25th, 2011 on the Seoul Broadcasting System. It ended broadcasting on July 28th, 2011.

The City Hunter TV series is an action, thriller, and romance TV series. It is directed by Jin Hyuk and written by Hwang Eun-Kyung & Choi Soo-jin.  With this little update that is been revealed already. I know you are anxious to know more about the TV series. PLOT

In the year 1983 South Korean president and the delegates are visiting Burma. It was when a bomb was planted by the North Korean agents explodes. As such, results in the killing of some of the high-ranking officials.  To strike back the five South Korean officials plan a covert operation, codenamed “Operation Cleansweep”. To enter the North Korean and kill several top members of the North high command. The two Presidential Security Service bodyguards were known as Kim Sang-Joong and Park Sang-min. The best friends who are to present at the bombing organize a 21 man team for the mission to be carried. But they faced a little challenge and so the five of them aborted the plan.

But the troops had to swim out from the Nampo to the ROK Navy submarine e assigned for their extraction, snipers abroad the submarine open fire on them.  Park had to sacrifice his life to save Lee. Lee swims back to the shore and then he returns to South Korea. Where he finds out the assault team’s service and personal records have been erased.

To avenge his fallen comrades Jin-Pyo kidnaps Mu-yeol’s infant son. He names him Lee Yoon-sung (Lee Min-ho). He moved to Golden Triangle to train the child as his own and the boy intensively in combat. There was an attack on the village they were living in. That was when Jin-Pyo confesses his long term plan of revenge to Yoong-sung.

Seven years later, after successfully finishing his education and attaining a doctorate in the United States at the Massachusetts Institute of technology. Yoong-sung returns to South Korea to fulfill his adoptive father’s plan for revenge. He had to enter the Blue House as an IT expert under the National Communication Network team. He was been warned by jin-pyo not to fall in love or trust anyone.

When he was working at the Blue house Lee meets a bodyguard Kim Na-na (Park Min-young). Eventually, Na-na participates in his revenge plan as they discover that they have the same goal in mind.  A problem occurs as jin-pyo unfolds revenge plot. Lee defiles his surrogate father on several occasions as they try to identify and kill the officials. That was known as the “Council of five”.

However, conflict breaks out between Yoon-sung and Jin-pyo as Jin-pyo wishes to murder each official, and Yoon-sung wishes to teach them a lesson and expose their corruption without killing them. As Yoon-sung exposes the official corruption. The citizens of Korea sense as an unseen force of justice that they dub “City Hunter”.
