The Last Kingdom Season 1 kingdom is a British series that talks about the historical fiction that is based on the Saxon Stories series novel.

This novel is written by Bernard Cornwell. The series which started on 10th October 2015 has reached season 4 with a total of 36 episodes released as of 19th November 2020.

The first season was an eight-episode series that was aired on BBC America and on BBC Two.

The second season of the series started on 16 March 2017 and ended 4 May 2017 on BBC Two and Netflix.

The series right was then fully bought by Netflix and has aired the season 3 and season 4 on their streaming platform.

The season 1 of this series is an eight-episode trailer that has lots of actions to keep you on your seats.

The season starts off when a young noble called Uhtred who is a Saxon turns into a fierce warrior. This is because he seeks to regain the lands that were annexed by his cunning and crafty uncle.

Episode One:

In the series premiers, it was shown that Uhtred’s father dies in battle, this led to his uncle Aelfric seizing all the lands and inheritance belonging to Uhtred. Uhtred was later captured by a danish warlord know as Ragnar.  He is now made to adapt to the Norse way of life until tragedy befalls his new family.

Episode Two:

Uhtred and his best friend Brida no longer regards themselves as Saxons or Dane. They are now fugitives on the run from his uncle Aelfric. Uhtred is blamed for the massacre of a wedding. But when he pleads not guilty his innocence was not believed by Viking warlord Ubba.

Episode Three:

Uhtred was able to find protection under the newly crowned Alfred. But with his new protection, there now seems to be a rift between him and his best friend Alfred. Brida was not happy with thereby jeopardizing their relationship.

Episode Four:

After he has gotten his desired protection under Alfred, Uhtred soon realizes that this protection was a practical play from Alfred. Uhtred was betrayed by Alfred and was soon in the hands of hostile people. But his life was spared by Ragnar the young.

Episode Five:

after his betrayal and his life being spared by Ragnar the young, Uhtred joins a fierce battle of Cynuit and vanquishes a forbidding foe. They became victorious only to have his younger brother Odda claim the victory.

Episode Six:

Uhtred and Leofric lead a raiding party in Cornwall, where they become a band of mercenaries for king Cornish. Uhtred ended up getting the attention of a sorceress queen. But while he was still a mercenary for king Cornish, he still faces fury from Alfred.

Episode Seven:

Uhtred and Alfred were forced to reconcile their issues after they were driven into hiding by the Vikings. They are forced to devise a plan for retaking the kingdom.

Episode Eight:

As part of their plan to retake the kingdom, Uhtred and Alfred called upon various Saxons to help them fight. But only that they did not know that treachery awaits them.
